Manchester Haul

On Monday I went to Manchester for the day shopping so I thought I'd do a haul of the things I got

Trying to look cool with my bags
First we went around the Northern Quarter bit of Manchester and went in some of the weirder shops, including the ones in Afflecks (which apart from  a couple of smaller shops like pop boutique, wasn't my thing)
The first thing I got was this bumbag from Blue Rinse (a vintage shop which I actually really liked), you're probably thinking I'm a bit weird buying a bumbag but I really wanted one for when I'm wearing a skirt or dress without pockets and I have nowhere to keep my phone, so I thought I would use it as an external pocket thing- especially since I dropped my phone in the sink the other day when it was FULL OF WATER and very nearly ruined it, all because I had nowhere to put it while I was washing up, so I thought £9 was a good investment to stop this from happening again,  though I don't know if I will wear it out or no (I don't know if I'm strong enough to deal with the ridicule) Blue Rinse have an eBay where they sell vintage stuff too (link HERE)

I got these CDs from Picadilly Records where they sell CDs and Vinyl and you can listen to the vinyl and some Cds in headphones in the shop which I think is a really good idea, I really love record and CD shops and I just love buying it in person, and looking at it all, I think I could probably have spent a day in there to be fair, I bought Love Letters by Metronomy and Friendly Bacteria by Mr Scruff- I might do a more detailed post on them but I really like them both so far

The  we went to the Arndale Centre and around there where they have all the normal high street shops

I got this adorable/weird/tacky bucket bag from Topshop- I wasn't sure whether to get it or not but I really wanted a bucket bag and this one has mirrors on, and pom poms, and flowers and it's so horrible that I love it- it was £12 in the sale- £10.80 with student discount but I wouldn't have paid much more for it, it was meant to be £25 (?!) which is crazy for such a tiny bag but it is really cute and I think it was the best thing I bought that day (I kind of did a weird happy dance when I decided to get it so that's a good sign, right?) They also do a backpack version of it which is also in the sale- it looks so cool and it was meant to be £36 which is even more crazy

I got this contrast polo shirt from Zara, it wasn't the cheapest (£25.99) but I love it- it feels really really comfy and the material feels so nice, I love the dogtooth pattern and of course it's my favourite colours- black and white so it's pretty much perfect. It's not the most flattering shirt but to be honest I don't actually care

I got this dress from H and M- it was £7.99 and it's just a really basic dark grey skater dress which ends just above the knee (which I like because you don't have to keep making sure you're not showing your butt to the world) I think you could wear this at any time of the year as you can wear it by itself, or with a t shirt underneath or a jumper over the top, I don't know why H and M doesn't put some of it's stuff on the website- but this isn't on there (typical) so you can only get it in store
